Clinic News

Our name has changed!  The word "Tidewater" was causing too much confusion with other clinics in the area with similar names, and so it was changed to "Veterinary Specialist Care".
Help us welcome our new technician, Jennifer, to fill Cynthia's position (she retired!)

Help us also welcome Delora as our part-time bookkeeper!

Meet Dr. Kremer

Dr. Keith Kremer grew up on a small dairy and beef farm in Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska for his preveterinary studies.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture with high honors from the University of Nebraska in 1987, and he received his DVM degree with honors from Iowa State University in 1990.

Following two years in private practice in eastern Pennsylvania, he was accepted into a residency program at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.  He became board certified in small animal internal medicine in 1995 and has worked in private referral practice since 1994.  He was one of the first veterinary internists in the Tidewater area, practicing in Chesapeake from 1997 to 2000, at which time he moved west for two years to pursue self-employment.  He returned to the area in 2002 to open his own practice, Tidewater Veterinary Internal Medicine (currently Veterinary Specialist Care), and in April of 2006 moved into his current office at 5124 Greenwich Rd in Virginia Beach.

Dr. Kremer sees patients on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays, and Fridays.  If you would like him to evaluate your pet, please discuss referral with your veteinarian and call us at 605-1610.
